A Farewell Message

Where do I even begin?

When I started growing flowers “for myself” a handful of years ago, I never imagined it would grow into a flower farm, that would become part of each of your lives.

This month marks the close of the Little Wagon Farmstead chapter. I said from the beginning I believed this was something God gave me to keep me busy while our youngest was still in high school. This August we dropped her off at school, and I could feel the shift. It’s hard to say goodbye to something so beautiful, but I know this is the end.

I have found myself using the word “bittersweet” over and over again because that's exactly what it feels like. While I am excited for what the next chapter is, it’s also really hard to put into words what a privilege these past few years have been.

Thank you for being a part of our story. From Planting Parties, field trips for the littles, Pick Your Own Parties, Mother’s Day Bouquet Workshops, having YOU be a part of the story has been the best part for me.

These are memories I'll carry with me forever.

Our flowers have celebrated birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, new babies, weddings, Mother's Days, Valentine’s Days and Teacher Appreciations. They have also offered comfort after the loss of loved ones. They've brightened kitchen tables, and counters, and put a smile on your face time and time again.

Thank you for letting our flowers become part of your stories.

I have had so many of you tell me you’ll miss the Planting Parties and the U-Pick Parties, but I’m passing the torch to you. Plant flowers—they will bring you joy, but don’t just plant flowers, invite others into the journey. Invite your friends to help you plant seeds—it’s so much more fun with friends! Invite the people you love into your garden and let them created with your flowers. Flowers bring life but inviting others along side the journey is where the real blessings come from.

Each of you has meant so much to me and I am so thankful you were on this journey with me.

So today, I simply want to say thank you.

Thank you for encouraging my dream.

Thank you for being on the journey with me.

I know, I've said thank you a lot but I really mean it! This chapter may be coming to a close, but it certainly isn't the end of the story. I can’t wait to see what’s next and I can’t wait to come join you in your garden some day soon.

Hi, I’m Anna!

I’m the dreamer behind Little Wagon Farmstead and our Flower Farm. In 2020, my husband and I bought a house with a little land, and a year later I decided to plant flowers, for myself and to give friends. A few years in, I’ve realized that flowers are more than just flowers, they are a smile on someones face, they inspire community, they are a warm feeling every time I walk into a room and see them, they are a conversation piece, and so much more! I started growing flowers for my own home but quickly realized I couldn’t keep such a gift just for myself. I hope I get to hand you a bouquet of your own, so you can experience the joy flowers bring, and fall in love with them too.
